..."Came across a fella called Dr Stanley Monteith who operates a radio station out of Monterey Bay in California. Dr Stan broadcast a 'phone-in conversation with a medic called Dr Boyd Graves on Radio Liberty, the station in question. Every human being on this planet should listen to the full broadcast of this powerful discussion. Get around the accents and the quality of the actual recording...and just bloody well listen it through".

..."Had my attention drawn to the outstanding work of a young British science-fiction artist hitherto unknown to me by a mention given to him by Nick Pope, the MOD "UFO" researcher and author. His name is Jason Chapman and he looks to have visual talent to burn".

"Was wandering in Palm Springs, CA, one evening and heard the most remarkable sound...the musician-performer Marston Smith playing some of his compositions. I was immediately hooked...wonderul stuff from a true individual...a real lifeforce".

"Found out the other day that I was up for sale. Or a part of my history in the memorabilia stakes. It reminds one that time is marching on and never rests. Anyway, it comes as somewhat of a surprise. I'm thinking of buying the model myself. Funnily enough I bumped into Gerry Anderson a few years ago at a theatre where my feature Alien Blood was being screened. As usual I had asked the projectionist to crank up the sound, and it was quite amusing to have Gerry and I out in the foyer politely chatting as all the screams from the movie punctuated our gentlemanly tones like some form of subliminal subtitles underlining all the hysteria bubbling under the surface of any film industry situation. Such moments are what it is all about. Whatever...".

(Jon Sorensen autograph is featured here.)

(Post-Script: Jon's miniature for Gerry Anderson's "Five Star Five" was snapped up for some £500.00...Jon was too late to buy it for himself).

"Had a chance to see the Digital movie Open Water...what a marvellous achievement. Hollywood mainstream certainly would never have backed such a story given its' dark realistic core and downbeat ending and yet they were falling over themselves to buy it at Sundance when it was finished! A movie deep in subtle subtext as minimalist things are prone to be. Great stuff...and full marks to the Distributor Lion's Gate for insight. Also has to be said that this movie was perfectly suited to the DV medium. Can you imagine the cost of shooting Open Water with a large, expensive and unweildy crew. They would have finished it in 2008, never mind the two and a half years it took Chris Kentis and Laura Lau on a budget of peanuts and shark-bait. Movie-makers look and learn. Terrific project, focused, emotional, understated and epic".
